![]() My Air 2S will sit in mid-air like it's sitting on top of a tripod. Those more expensive drones set our expectations pretty high on this point. It doesn't move much distance horizontally, but it does move around at least a tiny bit pretty continuously. In about a 5 MPH wind and about 8 feet off the ground over grass, it sometimes moved up and down by as much as plus or minus a foot, and it moved around horizontally a lot. The biggest negative for us with the SG907 is how much movement there is in a hover. You can do all of the most important functions with the remote, and the remote has a display for things such as battery life, GPS status, signal strength, and even altitude and distance. I also think it's a plus that the SG907 can fly without the phone app if you want it to. If I break anything more substantial than a propeller on my DJI, it's a matter of sending it back to them for repair. ![]() Another plus is that the parts are available out there on the Internet. Even a DJI doesn't let you see the picture from the downward-facing positioning camera, so that's a neat feature. We haven't gone through all of the features of the app yet, but it's very impressive that the drone has all of that capability demonstrated in the video. Just the fact that it also has GPS plus optical positioning assistance and return-to-home is surprising to me under US$200. You need the "Max" for that feature.) Pictures are really good, and the 3D gimbal works exactly as you'd expect. (If you see an SG907 Pro out there, it doesn't have the 3D gimbal. The camera is definitely a strong point at 4K with a 3D gimbal. The SG907 Max certainly has a lot of good things going for it. ![]() We have never bought a smart drone like this that is this inexpensive, so we were both curious to see what compromises there might be for the low cost. The Air 2S is about six times the cost of the SG907 Max, so there's a lot to be said for the SG907 feature set right off the bat if I gave my friend the green light to buy it and see how well it works. The new one I just bought is the DJI Air 2S. It's shorter than the OP's video and is more sales oriented, but we got a little information from it.įor a little perspective on the basis of our observations below, I've had multiple GPS-equipped drones over the years including some DJI models. One of the best out there for sure about this drone.įor what it's worth, here's a video by the manufacturer, ZLL. That video does a fantastic job of explaining everything. The video in post #1 is very well done!!! We both watched it multiple times to figure out exactly what this drone is capable of at such a low price point. You can not turn off the GPS feature once the drone is in flight.Ī friend of mine recently decided to buy one of these drones after I got something new myself. As such, I couldn't demonstrate this feature. The drone's waypoints map would not center on the drone's or my location. The drone's still photos are interpolated video frame grabs. The drone's microSD card writer did not recognize my newer cards greater than 16GB capacity. It will require registration in many countries. Before purchasing, it is important to first verify that your phone has this capability. The drone's app requires use with a 802.11ac WiFi capable phone. As this drone has an onboard SD card writer, you will still be able to record video and photos if you fly out of FPV range. Control range is much further at up to 800 meters. Advertised FPV video range is up to 500 meters. The app also provides advanced flight mode capabilities, such as follow me and orbit position. XiL Pro app provides real time in-flight video viewed on your phone (requires 802.11ac WiFi capable phone). ![]() Camera records 1080p video at 30 fps, and interpolated still photos at 3840 x 2160 pixels. Onboard micro SD card writer providing recording capability without use of your phone. 3 axis stabilized camera gimbal provides steady in flight video, even on a windy day. 7.6V 2600 mah battery provides about 26 minutes of flight time. Brushless 1503 1700KV motors for power, durability, and longevity. Good GPS system with automatic return to home and landing on command, loss of signal, and low voltage.

Not even for minor-Twitter-celebrities like me who have much larger followings on the site than they would have anywhere else.Īnd that’s because Twitter is becoming a ghost town. Mastodon is growing too (though they don’t provide comparable analytics, and the user experience probably benefits from having fewer gamified metrics.). What’s more, Substack is growing, while Twitter is shrinking. If I’m getting 2,000-3,000 views through Twitter, and ~2,300 views through Substack’s email distribution, then my Substack has already reached the same effective size as my Twitter following. Everyone presumably at least views the headline, whether they open and read the article or not. My posts appear in the inboxes of all those subscribers. On paper at least, it makes Twitter a much larger and more valuable megaphone than I am likely to have anywhere else. That number has held pretty steady ever since - today I have around 42,000. Otherwise, you can fine-tune the sensitivity to match your tastes. Perhaps the quickest and easiest way to fix any audio leakage is to simply use this setting so the app will only receive audio input when you want it to. This prevents any audio bleeding like the one I mentioned previously. You can also configure it in a way that your main microphone is selected like mine. The higher your input volume, the louder you’ll sound on the other side, the same goes for output volume when you hear other people talking. In your desktop, you can access your sound control panel by typing in “Sound Settings” in the search bar and selecting “Manage Audio Devices”. If you happen to prefer the software route or are just too tight on cash for any hardware updates, do not worry as your desktop and Discord are equipped with several features and settings that can help fix any audio problems. Try to keep your microphone far from the speaker and closer to you or get an audio filter to dampen audio before your microphone receives it. ![]() If you aren’t in the position to do anything above then a simple fix is to just lower the audio output of your speakers using its volume slider and rearranging your computer setup. This prevents any audio feedback from happening if you keep the audio output isolated from the mic.Ĭonversely, if you happen to be using a pair of headphones with a built-in microphone and experience audio leaking, consider buying a standalone microphone and disabling the headphone mic’s audio input.Ī disadvantage with the headphones and mic pair is how they are wired inside and any damages to one can impede on the other’s performance Use A Pair of HeadphonesĪn easy and straightforward way to fix this problem is to invest in a good pair of headphones if you happen to be using a microphone for talking and speakers for audio output. You can go about fixing them in two different or combined ways. Now that we know how these things happen and are usually a problem related to hardware and software issues. Type “Change System Sound” > at the Recording Tab Disable Stereo Mix and set your current recording device as default The fix to this would be to Disable Stereo Mix as Set your Mic as default. The problem is usually caused when the Stereo Mix option is turned on which is a feature that allows desktop audio to transmit over as input. Several forums such as this one from Reddit had users with cases of audio bleeding from their desktop bleeding over despite no microphone activity. Audio Bleeding FixĪ unique issue regarding this is when Discord would accidentally pickup system audio. Lastly, this can also be due to the fact that in Discord if the echo and noise cancellation is turned off in the settings or you happen to have the wrong device set in as Discord mimics any audio setup done in your desktop. On your desktop, your microphone could be too sensitive to input making it easier for it to pick up any stray audio or feedback. ![]() You would know if you have an input problem if the person on the receiving end would hear it rather than you, otherwise, it would be an output problem if you’re the only one hearing the feedback.Īudio feedback can also happen due to software issues. Electrical interference is usually denoted by a “static” noise you would hear. Why Do Feedback Loops Occur on Discord And How To TroubleshootĬommon causes for these types of problems usually stem from your hardware and setup like your microphone being placed too near to the speaker which is the typical reason for the feedback loop to happen.Īnother example is if your audio jack or even the audio cables happens to be faulty which can cause electrical interference with audio input or output. This visualization from perfectly illustrates what it looks like. This is where the loop portion occurs as your mic will continuously register and feedback the “Hello”. But as your microphone happens to be too near to the speaker, it picked up the “Hello” taking it in as input repeating the audio again. The person you’re calling would maybe say something to their microphone like “Hello” and it will output through your speaker as usual. microphone) as input and outputted through your friend’s speakers or headphones for them to hear.Ī feedback loop is what happens when the process is repeated several times with the same input which leads to an echo on Discord. ![]() This process is how your voice when you are talking is taken in by the input device (eg.
